Segments

    Gwanghwamun Square → Sungnyemun → Eulji-ro → DDP

Head down Sejong-daero to Sungnyemun (1.2 km), then take a near-hairpin turn onto Eulji-ro. The official profile puts the high point (about 34 m) near the gate and drops about 13 m to 4 km, so don't let the downhill and the crowd set your pace.

  2. 5–10 km · 08:27

    DDP loop → Euljiro 1-ga → Gwanggyo → Cheonggyecheon-ro

After looping around DDP you run Eulji-ro back west, then turn right by City Hall at 8.1 km onto Cheonggyecheon-ro. Corners come often and the official profile drops about 15 m here, so take the inside line at each turn but keep your pace even.

    Cheonggye 4-ga → Cheonggye 8-ga → Gosanja Bridge U-turn → Cheonggye 9-ga

Follow the Cheonggyecheon stream east, cross Gosanja Bridge and U-turn at 13.8 km, then come back on the other bank. The stream-side road is narrow and one-way, so the turn gets crowded, and the official profile climbs about 18 m slowly to 15 km; don't surge out of the U-turn.

    Cheonggye 7-ga → Cheonggye 3-ga → Gwanggyo → Jongno-gu Office junction → Jong-ro 2-ga

Retracing Cheonggyecheon-ro west, the official profile drops about 19 m, a good stretch to settle back into pace. At 19.1 km you turn right and almost immediately right again onto Jong-ro, so be ready for the double corner.

    Jong-ro 3-ga → Heunginjimun → Sinseol-dong junction → Dongdaemun-gu Office

Wide, straight Jong-ro takes you east past halfway, around Heunginjimun Gate at 21.8 km and onto Cheonho-daero at the Sinseol-dong junction (23.1 km). It is almost flat, so lock in your goal pace here.

Sindap Station → Janghanpyeong Station → Gunja Bridge → Gunja Station → Children's Grand Park Station

Cheonho-daero stays straight past the Sindap underpass at 25.5 km (in 2026 masters ran through it), then crosses the Jungnangcheon stream on Gunja Bridge at 28.2 km. Turn right at Gunja Station (28.9 km) down Neungdong-ro; spend a little extra effort only on the bridge ramps.

    Gwangnaru-ro → Hwayang junction → Seongdong Bridge → Seoul Forest → Ttukseom-ro

From Children's Grand Park Station Gwangnaru-ro heads west; turn left over Seongdong Bridge (Jungnangcheon) at 32.6 km and join Ttukseom-ro at the Seoul Forest entrance (33.6 km). It is flat, but fatigue sets in past 30 km, so tuck in behind other runners and keep your rhythm.

Yeongdong Bridge north end → Jamsil Bridge → Jamsil Station

Ttukseom-ro rises about 10 m on the official profile before you cross the Han River on Jamsil Bridge from 37.6 km. The bridge is fully exposed to river wind, so run in a group, then come off it and turn right at Jamsil Station (40 km).

Jamsil Station → Jamsil Saenae Station → Sports Complex junction → Jamsil Sports Complex East Gate

A flat, straight finish west along Olympic-ro. Turn right at the Sports Complex junction (41.9 km) and the East Gate finish is about 300 m on, so save your kick until after that last corner.

Course data

Approximated from the official course map. May differ by tens of meters.

The 2027 course map had not been published as of 2026-10-26, so this follows the 2026 course. It is an approximate track drawn on OpenStreetMap roads from the official 2026 course map and the intersection-by-km table in the official traffic-control notice, trimmed to the shortest line within 10 m of the road centre. It measures 42.10 km (−0.2%), and 58 of 61 official km points match within 0.2 km. Elevation is digitised from the chart on the official 2026 course map and lightly smoothed. It will be replaced once a 2027 course map or GPX is released.
