    Gongjicheon Bridge → Samcheon junction → Songam Sports Town → 1st U-turn

Songam Sports Town → First climb → Sinyeon Bridge (Uiam Dam)

Just past 5 km comes the steepest climb: about 34 m over 600 m (5–6%). Shorten your stride over it, then relax down to Uiam Lake rather than racing the descent.

Baksa-ro along the west side of Uiam Lake

Almost flat with the lake on your right. Settle your breathing after the climb and tuck into a group running your pace.

Baksa-ro → Gangwon Animation High → West Chuncheon

One short rise of about 300 m around 17 km. It is brief, so just hold your effort over it.

Around 20.5 km you run about 600 m onto Sinmae Bridge and turn back. You pass halfway right after, a good moment to check in and set your second-half plan.

    Yeongseo-ro → Chuncheon Dam

The crux: a gentle climb of about 30 m stretching over 3 km from 26 to 29 km. Run by effort, not pace, and take your fuel before the climb starts.

    Sinbuk → Sindong junction

A short rise at 31 km, then downhill and gentle rollers. From 32.5 km the road widens and feels endless, so keep your eyes on the runner just ahead, not the horizon.

  8. 35–40 km · 12:48

    Yeongseo-ro → Udu-dong → Soyang 2 Bridge

Flat running and the crossing of Soyang 2 Bridge. Expect wind on the bridge, and focus on posture and arm swing as fatigue sets in.

  9. 40–42.195 km · 13:00

Soyang 2 Bridge → Gongjicheon finish

A long, wide straight that feels longer than it is. Spread what you have left and lift for the final kilometer.
